Laundry for Life

My daughter isn't even born yet and I feel like I've been doing her laundry forever!! We were blessed with lots of cute baby clothes for her at my baby shower...so many, that I don't think I'll need to start buying her clothes until she's about 6-9 months old! We're very fortunate!
This was just ONE tub of unwashed clothing - believe it or not, I had THREE of them.

One tub clean and folded - thanks to Mimi McConnell!

Aiden was helping remove tags on Baby Girl Hoffman's clothes - and decided he needed one of the ribbons for his own head!
A few things I DON'T have to wash (thank goodness) - but she's already going out in style! Check out the pair of shoes all the way to the left I found at Target...mock "Sanuk's" so Baby Girl can match Daddy at the beach! I'm just hoping that they fit her "Daddy-size" feet!

We're Almost Home

Eric has been working on our new home non-stop, with lots of help from friends and family, and I've been working at our "old" home, trying to get baby clothes washed and ready for her arrival and my mom has started to help us pack some things so we are ready to move. It is definitely a hectic time in our lives, but I know we are both really excited for Baby Hoffman's arrival...just not so sure how "ready" either one of us actually are, with living out of two houses and not really knowing when she's going to come!

The good news is that our realtor let us pick out brand new flooring for the entire house (it was originally green shag from the 60's), so it really spruced things up a bit and we can't wait to have people over to show off our new baby and our new place! In the meantime, you can see the difference right here!

Old Living Room - YIKES!

New Living Room & Stairs leading to - ahh, much better!

Old Dining Room - GROAN...
New Dining Room - what a difference!

Old Master Bedroom - UG!
New Master Bedroom - can't wait to move in!

Old Rec Room - WOAH!

New Rec Room - much better!

"33"

Showering Baby With Love (and Clothing)!

Last Sunday I was showered with gifts from friends and family. We took everything to our new house so we don't have to move it twice and went through it all on Monday. Wow are we blessed! Baby Hoffman has enough clothes to get her through the summer and probably the fall without duplicating anything! Thanks to all who came out and brought or sent gifts for Baby Hoffman. They were needed and greatly appreciated. We are almost all set for her arrival. Our new house is being carpeted this week and then we should be able to be all moved in slowly but surely by mid-May. *fingers crossed*

Cousin Playtime

Last Saturday night, Tara and Jason cashed in their babysitting coupons with Coral and Mia and Kayla came over to my mom's house for a couple hours. I decided to stop by to snap a few photos of all the cousins! Got a few good ones, but I'm not as fast as Mia's Mommy so she was probably wondering why she had to hold her "cheeses" so long!

The Benchwarmers

Aiden's first T-Ball game was Monday night and it was quite a sight! I call him "Clark" from the movie The Benchwarmers, because when he's in the outfield (which he doesn't enjoy very much) he might as well be catching butterflies. But, he is very good at hitting the ball and just needs a little instruction on running after he hits it, but then again most of the other kids do too!
Coral is anxiously anticipating Baby Hoffman's participation in some form of organized sports or activities so she can equally make fun of her every move as well...

Neighborly Love

For the most part, we have great neighbors, and we'll really miss them when we move! Monday night we had such great weather that I hung out with two of our neighbors Carmen and Bridget and just had a girly "chat-fest"  until after 9 o'clock. The neighborhood kids (L to R, Jordan, Anna, and Joey) were out playing for as long as they could as well. Earlier they found what appeared to be this big, long wrapping paper tube and they were obsessed with it, as you can see above! They are great kids and I will miss them!

This picture isn't upside down, really! Just Miss Joanna! Joanna is Carmen's daughter, and she joined us for our girly chat fest, but got a little bored, and kept trying to do hand stands in her stroller. Eventually Bridget helped her out and she couldn't have been happier! Joanna would have been Baby Hoffman's BFF had we stayed on Grant Street, but hopefully they'll still get to know each other and be friends!
